“P.R.A.I.S.E.: A Palm Sunday Posture”

April 13, 2025

Book: Psalms

This Palm Sunday sermon explores how the joyful, radical welcome Jesus received in John 12:12–15 invites us into a deeper, more childlike posture of worship. Using the acronym P.R.A.I.S.E., the message highlights six qualities of authentic praise: Persistent, Revolutionary, Authentic, Intentional, Simple, and Effervescent. In contrast to religious fear and cultural power structures, the crowds boldly honor Jesus as King with simple yet subversive cries of “Hosanna.” Their effusive praise reveals that true worship overflows from real lives encountering real grace. As Holy Week begins, the congregation is invited to let that same Spirit-filled praise spill into everyday life—pointing others toward Jesus and the coming Kingdom.
